Sir Iftikhar Ahmad Ayaz

Sir Iftikhar Ahmad Ayaz KBE OBE is an internationally respected diplomat, humanitarian, and human rights advocate.
He currently serves as the Honorary Consul for Tuvalu to the United Kingdom, raising global awareness about the devastating impact of climate change.
A passionate voice for peace, he has worked with numerous United Nations agencies, including UNESCO, UNDP, and the UN Human Rights Council.

He has dedicated his life to defending the rights of persecuted minorities, especially the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at. Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2016, he holds the titles of Knight Commander (KBE) and Officer (OBE) of the British Empire. His powerful advocacy earned him the Queen’s Humanitarian Medal (2020) and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal (2022). Originally from India and raised in Tanzania, he has served as a senior education officer and teacher trainer across East Africa. Sir Iftikhar holds advanced degrees in linguistics, human development, and education. He is also a respected speaker on interfaith harmony, environmental justice, and global development.
